BPA is a very controversial topic in the scientific world. Toxicologists are on one side of this controversial topic while on the other side are scientists who study BPA health effects. "They have reported health effects in lab animals at very low levels of BPA exposure that they say are comparable to amounts people encounter through consumer products". BPA is found in can liners, receipts, even toilet paper. studies have shown that over 90 percent of people have BPA in their blood. This is bad because BPA is an endocrine disruptor and can lead to breast cancer, prostate cancer, cardiovascular disease.
I think we need to take action on BPA ASAP because if we sit around and wait, the problem will only get bigger. BPA is harmful to human health, so why have it in our products, even in our food like can liners. companies can just find a substitute for BPA, there are many more substances they could use in their products that are safer.
